Child Evangelism Fellowship High Desert Chapter
      of the High Desert
Time sure fly's when you're having fun. Good News Club's will be ending in April/May for summer break. We had 926 children enrolled and 318 made a decision to receive Christ Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

Testimony from Linda a Good News Club teacher who teaches two Good News Clubs in the high desert.

Our bible lessons the last few weeks have come from the book of Acts with an emphasis on the Holy Spirit giving us the power and courage to be witnesses. After the end of one of the lessons a first grader went back for counseling. She said, "I want to witness to my Daddy". Judy a helper at the club spoke to her and gave her a tract. the next week the first grader went back to Judy to ask ofr more tracts so she could witness to some friends. She told Judy that her dad said he was so pleased she was learning so much in Good News Club and that both her Dad and Mom prayed to receive Christ. Then she told how she took the tract and witnessed to her cousins.

A father whose son attends my Good News Club heard his son teaching his little sister to pray. He filmed them and put the video on YouTube. He said he was so impressed that his son was teaching his little sister to pray that he enrolled his daughter the following week in Good News Club.

These are just a few testimonies from our Good News Clubs in the high desert.

This year I seen a difference in the child, they were so eager to learn the Bible. I taught a Bible lesson from CEF Press called "Digging for Buried Treasure" a lesson to motivate the child to dig daily for buried treasure in God's Word. It was a pirate themed lesson. They learned about the four enemies that want to steal your treasure (God's Word). They are "Captian I Can't"; Private Put-It-Off; Sir Sinful and Admiral Unbelief." Our memory verse was

Psalm 119:72 "The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver."

They heard scriptures in God's Word telling them that God's Word is better than gold and silver. I offered a boy a handful of chocolate gold coins if he would gave me his Bible. He shouted NO! Praise the Lord his Bible was more valuable to him then gold (chocolate gold). I asked the children why God's Word was better than thousands of gold and silver. They replied because things will get old but God's Word will last forever. Amen. I love teaching the boys and girls the Word of God.
