Child Evangelism Fellowship
High Desert Chapter

Exciting things are happening at your CEF High Desert Chapter. Good News Clubs got off to a good start; A new Good News Club started at Thomson Elementary School in Barstow. Teaching Children Effectively Level 1 began on February 7th with five students. The San Bernardino County Fair is coming in May and we're ready to sign-up volunteers to work in our booth. Christian Youth in Action (CYIA) a summer ministryy of CEF is ready to register youth interested in doing summer missionary work in the high desert. I'm excited about training the youth in June. They will be trained for two weeks June 20-July1, 2011 Monday-Friday, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm then go out into the communitey and teach 5-Day Clubs in July. I'm praying that we get a few churches to sponsor 5-Day Clubs in the parks. Are you catching the excitement! If you are and would like to get involved please contact us director@cefhighdesert.com. I'm excited at what God is doing in the high desert reaching boys and grils for Christ. since Septmeber 2010 to present 1,048 children are enrolled in a Good News Club. Some not so good news is that we need more people to voluteer to help in a Good News Club. One Good News Club with 68 children enrolled had to close because they did not have any help to serve snacks and help wtih crowd control. Other GNC's are in danger of closing if we don't get more volunteers to help the teachers. If you can help at a Good News Club for 1 1/2 hours once a week please contact us.

Purpose
Child Evangelism Fellowship is an evangelical, Bible-centered mission whose purpose is to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and to establish (disciple) them in the Word of God and in a local church for Christian living.

Vision
Guiding a new generation that seek to honor God.

Mission
To enlist, equip and encourage a team of qualified leaders who will effectively fulfill the purpose of Child Evangelism Fellowship, expanding the work throughout the USA

Method
The primary ministries are Good News Clubs, 5-Day Clubs and Mailbox Club. Other CEF ministries include: Christian Youth in Action, Camp Good News, Party Clubs, JYou Connection, fairs and open air.
